Gainsborough Primary is on its way to Outstanding=
A recent inspection visit by Ofsted to the West Ham school has seen Gainsborough Primary ranked again as “Good” but this time with “marked improvement”.
Ofsted last inspected the school in January 2013 and will be visiting again shortly as they believe the school could be re-graded as Outstanding.
The school secured a judgement of “Good” in all four categories including “achievement”, teaching and learning, leadership and management and behaviour and safety.
Deborah Strain, head teacher of Gainsborough Primary, said: “We are delighted with the outcome of the inspection as it reflects our inclusive nature and the consistently high standard of commitment, dedication and hard work that our staff and our community put into our school.
“It was also heart-warming to know that we were within a whisker of the outstanding judgement but this could not be awarded in this visit.”
